Game1: Floor game of draughts showing the austrian map and with draughtsmen showning pictures and short descriptions of famous austian persons. |
 |
Draughts is played by two people, on the opposite sides of a playing board alternating moves. One played has dark pieces, and the other has light pieces. The player with the light pieces makes the first move unless stated otherwise. Pieces move diagonally and pieces of the opponent are captured by jumping over them. The playable surface consists only of the dark squares. Capturing is mandatory. A piece that is captured is removed from the board. In all variants, the player who has no pieces left or cannot move anymore has lost the game unless otherwise stated. |

Game2: Dice game with questions that are found somewhere around a hall and are answered. |
 |
A game for the floor showing the austrian flag played like a quiz but the questions about Austria are hidden in the area around for the children to run and find them.
RULES
The game is played in groups of 3 or 4 children. Every group gets one piece to move on the field.
The group who starts throws the dice and moves the piece. Then the group has to search for the question belonging to the field the piece is standing on. Every field and every question has a number and the questions are hidden everywhere in the room (it is also possible to play the game outside in the schoolyard and to hide the questioncards in the whole schoolyard-area). If the group can answer the question, they are allowed to throw the dice again, if they can't it's the next groups turn. The quizmaster has the sheet with the answers. Indicative questions |
